There are many, many songs out there that are loaded with lyrics about drinking, drugs, sex, money, power, violence and on and on and on. Now I totally realize lyrics are a matter of interpretation and what I think is a positive song may be the complete opposite to someone else but I'll do my best here...plus I've got the assistance of my target reader; a teenager! This is also why I won't typically choose the official song video -because it is the director's interpretation, not the listener's.
This is my attempt to weed out positive modern songs that will give teens a boost in their self esteem rather than drag them down. So...
