Tristis Manor release details are here!

From J.R. Wagner...

Big news!

First, Tristis Manor will be released on March 20th.

Second, from March 20th to July 20th, 100% of the proceeds of this book will benefit the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN). RAINN is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization and was named one of "America's 100 Best Charities" by Worth magazine. RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE and online.rainn.org) in partnership with more than 1,100 local rape crisis centers across the country and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice. To learn more about RAINN, visit rainn.org."

Before you ask why I have chosen to donate the proceeds to this particular charity, please read the synopsis below.

Margaret lives in a constant state of fear.  Fear of her mother, whose constant state of anger and unwillingness to speak of Margaret's past have long since pushed Margaret away.  Fear of disappointing her father should he ever discover the events of that day. Most of all, Margaret lives in fear of her abuser's return. Margaret turns to self-harm to cope with her pain and fear. Only when her self-inflicted injuries bring her near death does she realize she has the power and the support from an unlikely place to stand up to her fears and believe in herself again.

I am extremely excited to share this story with my readers as well as branching out to new readers.

For all those who continue to wonder when the second book in the main series will come out, rest assured that I am constantly working toward getting it released sometime this year. At the moment, I anticipate a late-summer, early-fall release.

For those of you who have read Exiled, the first book in The Never Chronicles series, Tristis Manor is the story of Margaret -James's mother.   James is the main character in Exiled. It is not imperative that you've read Exiled in order to follow Tristis Manor, a story all its own.

A warning to my younger readers.

Tristis Manor chronicles the childhood of Margaret, a character from The Never Chronicles.  While it is of the same vein as Exiled, there are many differences including sexual abuse and graphic violence. Please take this into consideration before reading Tristis Manor.

  1. Awesome! It's really nice to hear about the support you're giving.
20th? that's not too far away! Too bad that not what I thought when I started my story for your contest I was SO excited about. I'm really mad at myself for that.
    There'll be more contests, right?
